Films you must watch
Following on from the "Films you haven't seen" thread.

If you could tell somebody the ONE film they should watch that they haven't seen, what would it be?

It's difficult as there are so many that would make my top 10 that it's hard to say the ONE film I'd recommend.

Would have to probably say.. Goodfellas.

You lot?

Another good laid back Aussie movie well worth watching is The Dish, true story set in the 60's regarding an Apollo space mission. Sam Neil's in it, very funny.

Apart from the usual ones - Godfather, Cuckoos Nest and I always include Chinatown I would recommend Queen Margot as long as you don't mind subtitles or can understand French.

Only film I can ever recall over the years is The Castle. Low budget Australian film charting the little man versus big corporations. Reminded me a bit of the royle family in the dynamics of their family unit. It was Eric banas first film role

I probably wouldn't have noticed it if I hadn't lived in Melbourne for a year I the mid 90s and getting into the late show and frontline shows. The writers of which wrote and directed the Castle.

Johnny Vaughan {cock, but knows his films) who did that movie shoe thing said at the time it was his best film seen.

Two films I know but Manon is a continuation of the first and brings the story to a conclusion! Brilliant film making!

Come and See.

Probably the most harrowing war film of all time, and one that doesn't rely solely on dismembered bodies and explosions to disturb the viewer.
